Third Eye Organics – Starburst OG

Genetics: Pre-98 Bubba x Fire OG

Bag Appeal: Instantly proving to be worth the wait, the Starburst OG looks immaculate. The Starburst has a softer structure than its parents, but similarly features dense olive nugs with an obscene coating of resin. Sparkling clay colored pistils claw out of the buds and split the ocean of trichomes, giving the Starburst OG an otherworldly appearance.  

Aroma: Describing the aroma could be as easy as pointing to a red Starbust, and the resemblance is more than uncanny. The berry-forward sweetness dominates and almost none of the expected Fire OG spiced notes are present. The tangy smell has wifts of the kushy Bubba sweetness, but primarily bounces between well-defined strawberry and raspberry terps. In describing the terps, Third Eye said the Starburst OG is “unlike anything we have ever grown. Hints of strawberry, marshmallow, and gas give way to a flavor best described as sweet OG.  While not everyone’s favorite in flower form (it is well known for its hash making properties), it is sure to stone you to the bone. 🙏👁”

Flavor: Somehow even more flavorful than it is loud, the Starburst OG’s bold taste is a feat only Third Eye and a few others can achieve. The powerful smoke has a candied berries quality throughout, while the exhale is pleasantly soapy. The Starburst OG tastes like boysenberry saltwater taffy, more sweet than sour and effortlessly complex. As the delicious flavor took hold of my palate, my cheeks and eyelids began to sink. The virgous effects set in quickly, providing a sense of momentary euphoria throughout my whole body. With Third Eye, I know to roll pinners, but even that knocked me right out.
