Oni Noodles – Noodles Haze

Genetics: Pre-98 Bubba x Haze (Tom Hill)

Bag Appeal: Noodles Haze has a density I don’t often associate with longer flowering verities and inherits a lot of its fiery green appearance from the Pre-98 Bubba. Each nug is medium-small and plastered with massive pearly trichomes. A bit leafy, Noodles Haze is fairly contained for a cultivar that requires 12+ weeks of flower and doesn’t crumble away under pressure like similar varieties.

Aroma: Noodles Haze has a fairly unassuming nose and smells like a eucalyptus-forward XJ-13. I actually smoked Noodles Haze before I smelled the jar, and I imagine I would have otherwise been turned off by the loud mentholated citrus profile that I’d liken to a Jack. Like a weird combination of sweet orange and tea tree essential oils, Noodles Haze smells very different from the type of jar I typically enjoy.

Flavor: At first, Noodles Haze tastes like a sappy Mint Yerba Mate, tannic with an intense herbaceous cooling effect on the palate. There are hints of terpinolene in the background, which provide some enticing brightness without being so prominent to be unpleasant. The backend of the smoke is perfumed with cedar and a piquant sandalwood punch. Rolled up, Noodles Haze burns as clean as anything, is easy to smoke, and has a sinus clearing quality I more often associate with hash. The effects are clear headed and euphoric, with a comfortable heaviness in my shoulders and back.
