Elephants Growth – Elephants 41

Genetics: Unknown (Likely Gelato 41 cross)

Bag Appeal: This batch of Elephants 41 looks very similar to the batch I had in January. The nugs themselves have a tree-like structure and the surplus of sizable trichomes gives the buds a platinum hue. Underneath the frost, the forest green bracts practically gush resin.

Aroma: The epitome of the candy wave that has dominated the market since the late 2010s, the Elephants 41 has an overtly saccharine smell that more closely resembles a confectionary product than it does an agricultural one. It features a slightly lactic sweetness that perfectly accompanies a palette-consuming warmth that is similar to the smell of fresh brioche.

Flavor: The Elephants 41 is an excellent expression of a familiar terp. The intensely sweet and slightly earthy profile has a creamy finish that rivals the best candy cultivars available. While some similar flavor profiles can feature either a muted wheatgrass note or latent funk, the Elephants 41 has almost no background noise, sustaining a clear sugary note and producing an ambiguous fruity aftertaste. The smoke itself is impressively smooth and the evenly constructed hybrid effects are otherworldly. The Elephants 41 has a gripping potency that is more forceful and direct than its soil-grown counterparts at the top of the market.
