Al Organics 18 – BTY OG

Genetics: Unknown (OG Kush pheno)

Bag Appeal: BTY OG from Als Organics looks like good, green kush. The medium nugs look like fluffy pinecones and each resin-coated bract has a nearly foxtailed structure that reminds me of Chem 91. Adorned with spindly ginger pistils, each bud has an abundance of massive trichomes, which gives the contents of my jar a pearly hue.

Aroma: How I’d imagine it smells when Lemon Dawn is used after an oil spill, BTY OG produces a chemical-like aroma that is hard to fathom comes from an organic garden. The bimodal terp profile is brilliantly concentrated and stings the nose.

Flavor: BTY OG has a fullness that hits every note I’d expect from an OG Kush. The initial inhale is all fuel and very similar to Kosher Kush. As the resin builds, a distinct and exaggerated lemon note cuts through, a quality missing from most OGs I encounter. The pine flavor is understated but brings a freshness to the exhale and aftertaste that lightens an otherwise vigorously dark palette. The smoke and combustion are as clean as the effects, which are inordinately heavy. Deeply sedative, Al’s BTY OG produces a forceful headband sensation and beautiful stillness.
