Kushkirk and Rubands Official – Black Haze

Genetics: NL5Haze (maybe)

Bag Appeal: Despite its name, the Black Haze is beautiful green weed. The nugs are fairly loose and leafy, with an open structure I associate with equatorial varieties. Each bracht and bit of sugar leaf is coated in deep amber trichomes, indicating a ripeness rarely seen in indoor flower. The Black Haze unquestionably looks like light-deps, with a natural and organic charm.

Aroma: The Black Haze smells like if a bottle of absinthe had been stored in a dusty cupboard for decades. Fennel, rosemary, yogurt, sage and mothball aromas all creep from the jar. The odd smell is addicting, aggressively fragrant, and has a subtle cooling sensation at the end.

Flavor: Keeping with the herbaceous palette, the Black Haze tastes like juniper and really reminds me of gin infused with Nag Champa. The flavors evolve and notes of white sage and lavender come out. The smoke tastes increasingly burnt without being harsh or ashy. Rolled into a joint, the Black Haze has a propensity to go out and the ash is fairly dark. The long lasting effects are uplifting and wild, avoiding the racey qualities I typically associate with hazes.
