Kapow Based – Berries and Cream
Genetics: Unknown
Bag Appeal: Berries and Cream is visually enticing flower. Many of my favorite cultivars have a slightly undesirable structure, which often indicates a selection that prioritizes flavor and smokability above all else. The medium-sized hunter green nugs are dense and caked in sparking resin.
Aroma: Like an exaggerated Cherry Pie, Berries and Cream is one of the sweetest cultivars I’ve had the pleasure of smelling. Subtle clementine notes cut through the pastry profile, which reeks of sugar, yeast and vanilla. The aroma is focused and clean – lacking any gas, pine or musk.
Flavor: Berries and Cream is properly named and delivers a clear representation of a tried and true profile. Berries and Cream has the sweetness that feels at home in the canon of contemporary candy strains. The inhale has a tinge of strawberry candy, which immediately gets drowned in a cooling sweet cream that closely resembles Cool Whip. The creamy qualities extend to the texture of the smoke and appearance of the ash, which makes for an overwhelmingly enjoyable experience. Deceptively potent, Berries and Cream has hashy effects – calming and giggly with gentle pressure in my forehead.
