Al’s Organics – Zkittlez

Genetics: Grape Ape x Grapefruit x Unknown (Maybe)

Bag Appeal: More tightly manicured than some of the breathtaking examples of Zkittlez I’ve encountered over the past year, Al’s flower features all of Z’s trademark structural qualities. The pom-pom shaped nugs are medium-sized at best. The outer calyxes are a forest green, while the inner bracts are almost chartreuse. Orange pistils and pearl-like trichomes coat the surface of each gently cured bud, slick with resin without being wet.

Aroma: The smell of a well done jar of Zkittlez is hard to beat, and Al absolutely knocked this batch out of the park. A pungent grapefruit soda note headlines a terp profile that is sharp and complex at once. Notes of cardamom and simple syrup hover in the background of an aroma that is so electric it almost feels carbonated.

Flavor: An honest and exciting representation of the aroma, Al’s Zkittlez tastes like a sour citrus candy with mouth-coating density. The smoke is beautifully sweet, with little background noise. While I’ve had other examples of Zkittlez that are most distinctly grapefruit, this expression has an equally interesting depth that tastes more fully developed and ripe. This carries through to the effects, which are sonorous and peaceful, something fairly unexpected for a straight Zkittlez. The smoke is gentle and flavorful down to the very end.
