Khash Treemason – Z-Face

Genetics: Zkittlez x Face-Off OG

Bag Appeal: It’s hard to imagine more picturesque weed. The Z-Face has a structure that is wildly different from Khash’s signature cookie cuts, but displays a similar vision. While each nug does have the frayed structure typical of Zkittklez, the trim is tight and careful. The bracts are a deep pine and absolutely covered in colossal trichomes. Vivacious orange pistils stretch from each bud and when ground, the buds have an ideal kinetic sand texture, highlighting a degree of perfection in every detail.

Aroma: The Z-Face’s smell is worthy of as much intrigue as its bag appeal. More delicate and warm than Zkittlez adjacent varieties that get harvested at 50-60 days, the full aroma boasts a beautiful grapefruit quality. A sharp kush note is present as well, with an organic sharpness that reminds me of a Pure Kush. The jar smells somewhere between San Pellegrino Pompelmo soda and a lemon/lime scented cleaning product; refreshing and sweet in the best way possible.

Flavor: The Z-Face is unequivocally special. The Z terps are as tart and present as I’ve ever experienced. The gas gives the smoke a full body and quickly dominates the pallet. The mouthfeel on the inhale is crisp and the ripe resin leaves an ambient peppery note. The complexity comes out in the exhale, where bits of lemon and pine from the OG enhance a substantial grapefruit flavor that tastes much more like a soda than smoke. As the joint burns down and the resin builds, the mouthfeel begins to lean towards an OG, with a richness I feel deep in my gums. The effects are sensational and typical of a wonderfully constructed hybrid. There is a joyful heaviness that I can only equate to a weighted blanket and a vigorously blissful head high.
