Third Eye Organics- Zkittlez

Genetics: Grape Ape x Grapefruit x (unknown)

Bag Appeal: I’ve had the pleasure of seeing a lot of Zkittlez, and Third Eye’s version of Z is easily the most visually impressive. Third Eye manages to achieve a meaningful growth of pearly trichomes from a cultivar I haven’t known to be particularly frosty. The medium nugs have Zkittez’s trademark noisy structure, but feature spatterings of color and noodle-like amber pistils that I rarely see in Z.  

Aroma: Cured up, this jar of Zkittlez has a nose that is the platonic ideal of Z terps. The primary aroma is a perfectly ripe white grapefruit and a sweet cardamom warmth gives some balance to the tart profile. The aroma has a striking clarity and never trails off into musk or funk.  

Flavor: From the very first hit, the soft and glossy smoke tastes like an intensified version of the aroma. The flavor is pleasantly sharp, while the smoke is very gentle on the throat. The inhale has a mouthwatering effect similar to citric acid, and the flavor becomes sweeter throughout the joint. The effects retain the creative and social aspects one would expect from Zkittlez, but also feature a lumbering weight I associate with perfectly ripe resin.
